Lou Tonkin is a Cornish artist and printmaker, deeply inspired by the landscape and wildlife around her. She is fascinated by nature, particularly the rich life found within Cornwall’s hedgerows. Lou spends hours quietly observing birds as they flit, perch and move through the landscape, absorbing their gestures and character. Rather than simply recording their appearance, she seeks to capture their spirit and the feeling of being immersed in the natural world.
