Alongside writing books I have other tricks in my magic bag. I am also a freelance writer, a speaker, and a mentor for other writers.
Freelance Writer
I have written on a range of human interest topics, including: adult and child well-being, funeral planning and bereavement support, pet care, green living, and digital advertising (big data meets – and shapes – consumer needs).
I’ve also crafted taglines for brands, ghost-written personal development material, and created adult humour for merchandising and greetings cards.
Speaker
I have delivered presentations on authenticity for authors and writers and the active imagination, drawing on my experience as a published novelist and short story writer. I have also created and run workshops on comedy writing for beginners and comedy writing in fiction, having written gags, sketches and parody songs for live performance, magazines, websites and greetings cards.
Mentor
Communication is my passion, so working with other writers to help them find and express their voice on the page is a joy. Every writer has their own, individual journey. The right support at the right time can make a world of difference, whether you are starting out or developing an existing project.
