Our lives are held together and interconnected by stories. They’re what makes us tick. Whether it’s shared experiences, or a common heritage, we define ourselves by the stories we tell, the types of story we seek out, and the ones we return to time and time again (sometimes involving different characters and settings).

Fiction contains its own truth. Some call it metaphor and others talk about symbolism. I prefer to think of it as enchantment. The ability to keep us turning the page, reluctant to leave a fictional world that someone conjured on to the page – seemingly out of nowhere.

Storytelling and stories have always been my passion. In good times and bad times, books are a constant (and ever changing) companion.
