Ann, a former teacher, discovered her love for Cornwall during family trips to Sennen and Porthcurno. In 2010, she and her partner Peter moved to Pendeen, near St. Just, after working in education for 25 years in Nottinghamshire. They started Lands End Cycle Hire near Geevor Tin Mine Museum. Ann also took care of some cottages in Pendeen while still teaching in the area.
During the Covid pandemic, Ann learned the importance of thorough cleaning. This inspired her to create Tin Coast Cottages. Ann’s high standards and love for Cornwall make sure guests have a great stay. Ann’s daughter Nicole also helps with running the business. She has a background in hospitality, working at places like Travel Lodge and The Bear @Rodborough
BB has over 35 years of experience in Cornwall’s housing market, having owned the award-winning business “Live Beside the Sea.” In 2024, she opened her own holiday accommodation, The Studio, at Nanpean Barn, Cape Cornwall. It’s around 9 miles from Penzance. Through effective marketing and great guest experiences, she secured a 96% occupancy rate and kept on thriving.
In 2024, Ann and BB became fast friends, bonding over their shared holiday rental experiences. They noticed a gap in the market for property owners needing help with their Airbnb potential. Then, they teamed up to recreate Tin Coast Cottages – AirBnB management. This friendly business helps owners maximise their investments. It also offers special retreats for small, bijou holiday lets.
